  • For the backstory on this script, please see HUGNS Episode 1. Here is a humorous script for a “television show” I was writing called Happy UnderGround News Station. I was 25 and working as a technology paraprofessional at an elementary school when I wrote this. And yes, I wrote the first episode in one day, and then this episode the next day. The idea that any sort of length of my writing, online or off, formal or casual, indicates long periods of effort is understandable, but inaccurate.

  • At one point or another I decided I’d make a “television show,” of some kind. This was when I was working at the elementary school and every weekend I’d travel back to Fort Collins to be with my husband Maus. It’s partly why I only worked there as a technology paraprofessional (apparently as one of their last) for a year. I wrote three episodes, and this is the first one, and luckily it has its own timestamp written right into the text.
