This is very short-sighted and, given everything happening with Automattic, Matt Mullenweg, and WordPress right now, is particularly vile and ‘transparent.’ If you send someone a message, a letter, a note, whatever, it’s theirs to keep or publish unless they’ve made a legal obligation beforehand.
I don’t understand how making it unacceptable to share what someone has sent to you ‘in private,’ no matter what, theoretically, is supposed to produce a more trustworthy, ‘transparent,’ professional, or ethical community. It’s the same old shit for a better society in ways that protect abusers.
