This is a blog post I published approximately around June 22nd of 2024 on asherwolfstein.com. At this time I don’t have a more accurate date, but I will. This was pulled from this archive.org snapshot:

Moving On
In case anyone was curious about the last aftershocks of the situation involving the people who didn’t like what I had to write that has played out over the last week on Twitter, I’ll provide some final details that I didn’t think were appropriate for a Tweet thread.
First off, I’d like to thank the rational, caring, and understanding people who have supported me, a victim of emotional neglect and other circumstances, despite the unfortunate things I did as a very young child. I can completely understand that it is uncomfortable, gross, and easy to judge, which is where I came in and reminded everyone that it is more common than people think; it’s just that not very many people are honest or open about it (something else I also addressed in my post).
I have a sarcastic way of writing, especially if I’m frustrated (which I was) about a particular subject that tries to really cut to the core. Because of that, it seems that how I worded what I had to talk about wasn’t done with very much sensitivity to the subject. One, I have lived with bizarre subjects my whole life (such as this) and have difficulty sometimes having a solid sense of “normal,” two, I meant it to be shocking to those who knew me well or think they do (as illustrated in the paragraphs above the one in question), and finally, I am in no way bragging or proud of what I’ve done (which I thought was painfully obvious from everything else I wrote about being a shit person and a failure at life). But I guess we must explicitly clarify these things for those in the back who can’t read very well.
I’m not happy at all that parts of my childhood were the way they were. I’m not happy at all that I was emotionally neglected. I’m not happy at all about what I did then or in many other childhood situations. I’m not happy about what happened to me. I’m not happy about what I had to deal with. I don’t know if anyone noticed, but the post started out with “I’m not happy.” My unhappiness or my circumstances do not excuse a single bad thing I’ve ever done (which I’ve tried to do very few).
There are people, it seems, who take it upon themselves to really “read into” what I had to write (and only that part) as much as fucking possible in order to get gratification in trying to get others to look down on me and even hurt me. They like to encourage and “gossip” about many assumptions and other issues without pointing out that they could be wrong. They like to nitpick at the smallest detail of something my friends or I will say to try to show how they are “accurate,” but they won’t do that when it comes to themselves and what they say or do. It’s always very self-serving and quite inconsistent.
They’ll even try to wash their hands of situations, pretending they’re actually multiple different people. They act like perhaps they actually like me and yet do nothing when people do things that would obviously hurt me, such as Tweeting a claim that, yes, has the source link (two links away) that almost no one is going to actually read (and everyone knows and will likely agree with that assessment).
As I’ve written in other blog posts, they (multiple individuals here) always assume what I do or don’t know and what I do or don’t understand, and they’re always wrong—always, despite all my warnings in previous writings. I’ve said that you’re making a big mistake if you think I’m not aware. And if you think I’m incapable, you’re making an even bigger mistake. But hey, you do you. I like it when people underestimate me anyway because it gives me an advantage.
I’m not under any impression that one individual’s politics informs the contents of every site they own or operate. I’m aware that some websites are free-for-all and even make fun of their owners. I’m very aware of “free speech” and how it works, and where certain opinions are having trouble surviving. I am aware of things I’ve posted in the past originating from sketchy sites. The only reason I posted it at all was because it was true. That doesn’t mean that sketchy sites serve some great purpose, and speaking of that purpose… I think it’s quite odd that a pure gossip site claims that it is in no way, or claims to be, righteous and moral, and yet that’s the attitude of almost everyone on the site and the site actively citing bible passages.
Weird that.
Despite the fairly powerful post I wrote all about the things and identities people assume about me and try to stick on me, individuals who want to build themselves up to feel smart and powerful keep doing it. It’s like I’m this leftist bleeding heart who thinks that everything anybody thinks is true “somewhere” in some great all-loving new-age reality, and because of that, everything I come up with and express about everything must be completely agreed to or respected or else I will (cry)bully them into oblivion. I should be able to talk freely about how I’m one of the worst people on the planet who sexually abuses others, and others should accept that as my “sexual orientation” or “gender identity,” or else. I want government overreach as long as it benefits my lifestyle and identity. And that nobody should ever put me down or disagree with me because I’m special, important, and smarter than everyone else! Oh, and I hate Christianity specifically so much that I constantly think about it and write about it and fume about it (not just sometimes get into lengthy arguments).
I’m not that person either—like, at all. It’s a self-serving conservative alt-right-inspired fabrication. I’m definitely NOT a leftist (I’m not even a Democrat, never have been). I do not think that everything is true “somewhere.” I do not (cry)bully, though when people lose arguments, they sure seem to feel like it because that’s their only attack. I do not think anything bad I do is acceptable, or just “life,” or out of my control, or should be tolerated or accepted by anyone else, especially not as my “sexual orientation.” (WTF?) I do not support government overreach anywhere. For example, I do not support anti-discriminatory hiring laws against “special classes” and hate the idea of “special classes.” I do not believe anyone should have to bake a cake if they feel it goes against their religion. I’ve repeatedly said I’m not special, important, or smarter than everyone else.
But whatever, this will change nothing; it will all be dismissed, and I will continue to be this bizarre leftist caricature whenever it is convenient.
I understand the concept of intensive group trolling. It’s happened to me three times, counting this one, and each time I survived unscathed. All three times, it’s because of something I wrote (or was written about me that I claimed was true). So, no, this is not the first time this has happened. It surprises me that anyone thinks I have no idea how writing works, and people reading what I have to write, and that I believe I have any say in what people think about me because of it or what people want to claim about me. Duh. I don’t. And I knew that the second I wrote that paragraph. I foresaw something like this happening, but I didn’t foresee how quickly it would devolve into misleading allegations.
The only thing I’m against is when people make claims that, taken on their own without further reading, are just plain false. Very, very few people are going to click an included link, to only then click on another included link, to read my entire article, and then back up to read that/those (entire) posts, to then go back to the original Tweet and go, “Ah yes, I see what they are saying accurately.” No. That doesn’t happen. Everyone knows that doesn’t happen. I contend then that it is misleading, false, and, frankly, a lie. It is a way to state something while “including everything” without actually including everything to influence people to think something in particular that’s not true.
People who affect self-righteousness so they can have an excuse to hurt people to feel powerful are not the only ones who can nitpick at things with a particular perspective to “make things 100% accurate.”
I also already knew the statistics regarding what I wrote about. Having this be an unfortunate part of my life, why would I not know that? That’s why I also think it’s quite self-righteous and know-it-all for anyone to think otherwise. The truth is, I’m just your average guy, really, when it comes to various experiences, and my future criminal career is just like most other average people: non-existent. I repeat that once again, I do not think I’m special.
The only crime I’ve committed as a fully cognizant adult was speaking the truth about things many people have to carry around and never talk about (precisely because of sketchy websites and other people shaming them). I’ve already written this before. They don’t talk about them because they’re afraid what’s happened to me will happen to them. I’m just pointing out life. This is life. It’s not pretty. Life is a struggle and painful, and we put joy and happiness into it. I can’t help it if anyone has a problem with that, but I’m not going to pay lip service to bullshit people tell themselves any more than my father did.
I’m closing this chapter of the blog. Maybe that was a stupid way to write that paragraph, and I’ll keep that in mind. My intended audience was people who already knew me “really well” (or think they do). That doesn’t change anything, but I hope it provides insight into how I wrote it. If you don’t like that paragraph, what it says, what I’ve done, or even me because of it, that’s fine. I don’t care. It may seem like I do because I, God forbid, don’t want random strangers’ first impressions of me being a rumor that I’m an immoral monster, but in the end, I really don’t care what an individual thinks. It’s like being gay. I don’t care if people hate me because I’m gay. Or being furry. I don’t care if people hate me because I’m furry. Or being Borderline. There’s nothing I can do about people being an ass about that if they want to be.
It’s like I told (tell) people in the hospital whenever there’s a discussion about alternative lifestyles (and sometimes how someone doesn’t like them): I’m not going to try forcefully to stop anyone from having the convictions and opinions they have and expressing them anywhere they like as long as they’re not actively hurting me or anyone else (which would be a behavior), because in the end, it’s not up to me and I don’t care. It’s like when I defended neo-nazis being flagged as terrorists just because on Facebook, and one of my classmates chastised me for it, and I argued that only actual criminals doing actual criminal things should be labeled terrorists; otherwise, the government is performing thought control because, legally, terrorist means a lot. If someone wants to be a neo-nazi, that’s fine, you do you. If someone wants to be a terminally online loser that constantly posts gay porn cause there’s nothing else in his life and surfs KiwiFarms looking for both their attention (why else drag me into a thread that isn’t even about me, like at all? Isn’t that what you complain Liana has done with P&Z?) and mine, that’s fine, you do you dude.
All I’ve ever been interested in in this whole thing is what I’ve written about myself, how others have interpreted it, what they’ve said about it (which is completely normal to be interested in), where it’s been posted or discussed, and standing up for myself when I’ve felt it necessary to clarify anything. But now I’ve said all I have to say, so I’ve lost interest.
I don’t give a flying fuck.
I’m not sure if that will surprise you, but if it does, that’s because you’ve been a moronic idiot this whole time and not actually acknowledging anything I’ve said because you just gotta be a big bad funny, powerful troll. Well, you’re not any of those things, really. You’re just pathetic.
And that’s the bottom line. I don’t have time in my life for anyone this absolutely pathetic. So, I’m moving on. Ciao!
