I’ve confronted this before, but I’ll say it again for those who just. can’t. get. it. In order for someone to “make an exception” for themselves, they have to be operating within the context or substrate that would require the exception. If I, for example, am not operating within the context or substrate of altruism, then there is zero need for me to “make an exception” out of anything altruism would denounce. None.
